5 Most Popular Spots in Dubai to Start a New Business

Dubai Economy Department has issued a report which highlights the most popular areas for setting up new business. From January to June of 2020 16,826 new business licences were issued and 43.7% were open in the following areas (by priority): 1. Al Garhoud (15%) 2. Downtown, Burj Khalifa area (12%) 3. Oud Al Muteena 3 (6.5%) 4. Trade Centre 1 (5.2%) and 5. Oud Metha (4.8%). The most popular type of license is ‘Professional’ activity, followed by ‘Commercial’ licences. Remarkable that, 97% of new licenses were issued for businessmen, 2.2% were issued to women entrepreneurs and 0.8% to companies.
